Jon Udell’s advice for the rest of us

Nov 8, 07:09 PM by Jonathan Camenisch

For a while now, I’ve wanted to start a “tech tips” blog or mailing list or something. There are just several technology things that I think non-techies ought to know about. You just need to be told in the right way, and at a pace that works.

Well, someone else started a blog that might fit the bill. I’m not sure—there are only three posts so far. But I do like John Udell (even if he does work for Microsoft), and I like what he’s posted so far.

Consider it a trickle-paced class on basic ’Net-savvy-ness: internetcommonsense.jonudell.net/. Or, read John’s own description.

If you like it, you can also get his posts in your e-mail.

  1. Nice find. I think coming from MS is a good thing, because he is more likely to give real world advice.
Too often such blogs degenerate into telling us why we should help our grandma use Linux. Not a real world solution for the masses today.
